Our Mission at Wiser Lending is to provide our clients with a mortgage experience that provides the best rates, lowest costs and customer service that is second to none. We will strive to educate each of our clients to empower them to make a sound financial decision. We will maintain our focus on their individual needs to ensure that when their loan closes they are better off than when the process started.
Our Founding Story
Wiser Lending was founded in 2010 as OneCity Mortgage. Our focus was solely on conventional lending and giving our clients the best rates at the lowest costs. After a number of years of taking notice that there was a large gap in specialty loan programs like VA and Texas Cash Out loans, our focus shifted to filling those gaps and offering our great rates and costs with these loan programs too.
Eric Weishaar, our President and Founder, wanted to showcase our expertise in the mortgage industry, especially in specialty loans, so he changed the company name to Wiser Lending in 2017. He wanted a name that would show our clients they could count on us to put them in the best loan possible and that they could rely on our knowledge to guide them through the mortgage loan process. Today, our focus is on our clients and with our expert knowledge in conventional and specialty loans, Wiser Lending is the Wiser Choice for home loans!
